I'll be honest, the ride from el aueropuerto to the city left much to be desired. I may have looked at Alexis and said "how long do we have to stay here??"
But our hotel in Zona Rosa is nice and just a few short blocks from a very popular area filled with restaurants, bars, nightclubs, high end shopping (big Hugo Boss store), including my new favorite find, Zara Home. The style and price point you'd expect from the high-fashion budget line but in home goods!
There are several boulevards with stand-alone, big window display stores (think third street promenade in Santa Monica or Nike Town) but also three very skinny, very tall malls. Each a block from each other. Each like 6 or 7 stories. Each with its own movie theater. More on that in a moment.
We ate dinner at a "typical" Colombian restaurant but were hesitant to order something "crazy" and settled on empanadas and soup. Then the table next to us got fat sizzling steaks piled high with French fries, arepas, salads, etc. that smelled so good and were like 9 bucks that we decided we're opting for that next time.
After dinner we went to the cinema and realized all movies are in English with Spanish subtitles. Lucky us! We decided to see Los Illusionistas- Me Nada Es lo Que Parece. Oh you haven't seen that one yet? It's also called Now You See Me in Los Estados Unidos.
The best translation of an American movie was for Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs, part 2- Llueve de Hamburguesas 2 (it's raining hamburgers).

Love this! Safe travels, girls :)
